A matched pair of gilt bronze furniture mounts, cast in the Louis XVI taste with pierced acanthus and leaf ornament in an elongated architectural form.
Intended as decorative appliqués for a cabinet, secrétaire or similar piece of furniture, designed to flank a central panel or door.
The reverses are stamped “AM 188”, understood as a pattern or model number used by a continental bronze supplier producing mounts for the cabinet-making trade.

Very good decorative condition, with light rubbing to the gilt finish and minor oxidation to the reverse and within recesses, consistent with age.
Both mounts are structurally sound and form a true matched pair.
