Details:
Jack Ruby personally owned suit jacket, accompanied by an 8 × 11” color photograph signed and inscribed by his brother, Earl Ruby, documenting the jacket’s provenance. The photograph depicts Earl Ruby seated in his office alongside noted JFK collector Robert L. White, who is shown holding multiple suits formerly owned by Jack Ruby, including the present example.
The suit jacket is a classic mid-century men’s tailored garment, consistent with the period in which Ruby was most publicly visible. The piece comes directly from the Ruby family, with Earl Ruby’s signed and inscribed photograph serving as firsthand authentication.
Jack Ruby (1911–1967) was the Dallas nightclub owner who fatally shot Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963, two days after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. His actions, broadcast live on national television, permanently embedded his name in American history and continue to be studied in connection with the events surrounding JFK’s death.
