
A FAMILLE ROSE 'ANTI-GALLICAN SOCIETY' PUNCH BOWL Qianlong, circa 1750 Each side enamelled with a coat-of-arms depicting Britannia as an equestrienne warrior, her spear stabbing a blue flag with three fleur-de-lys flanked by a lion and two-headed griffin, below a seated figure of Britannia with a shield with the British colours leaning against her, below is the motto FOR OUR COUNTRY, each separated by a floral bouquet, a further floral bouquet to the interior within a gilt spearhead border. 20cm (7 7/8in) diam.
