
An early Bohemian engraved baluster goblet, circa 1700 The generous round funnel bowl with gadrooning to the lower part, decorated with a continuous stylised landscape incorporating two birds among plants, one in flight and one running, a 'Bohemian' husk border above, raised on a tall multi-knopped stem incorporating balusters and collars around a central gadrooned knop, the spreading foot neatly folded at the footrim edge, 22.7cm high Footnotes: Bohemian goblets of this form were influenced by Nuremburg examples.
