A collection of Bow polychrome porcelain, circa 1750-65 Comprising a flat-bottomed sauceboat, with leaf-moulded sides, painted in famille rose style with wading birds by hollow rockwork and flowers, a panelled diaper border inside, 14cm long, a pickle leaf dish painted with precious objects and flower sprigs, 12cm high, a saucer painted with flowering millet, prunus and peony, 11.5cm diam, a bowl with flared rim, with Chinese figures by a table, the reverse with fighting cockerels, 10.4cm diam, and an octagonal plate printed in outline and hand-coloured with Mandarin figures and a dog in a garden, further figures below the brown line rim, 19cm wide (5) Footnotes: Provenance With J and S Wyatt (saucer) Sue and Gordon Guy-Jones Collection (sauceboat) Anton Gabszewicz Collection For a lobed dish with a printed scene identical to the plate except lacking the little dog, see Anton Gabszewicz, Bow Porcelain (1982), p.84, fig.123.
