Three Bow mugs, circa 1758-65 Of bell-shape, the grooved handles with heart-shaped terminals, painted in blue, the smallest example with a Chinese river scene, islands with pagodas and huts amongst tall trees, below a diaper and flower panelled border, 9.5cm high, another with a similar border and painted with large peony and flowering bamboo, 'comma' motifs flanking the handle, 14.7cm high, painter's mark 'p' or 'd', the third mug with two Chinese figures in conversation on a bridge, within an elaborate foliate and scroll-edged cartouche, pendent flowers at the rim and flying insects, a chain-link border around the foot, 14.5cm high Footnotes: Provenance With Simon Spero (smallest mug) Anton Gabszewicz Collection For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
