
A Derby creamboat, a rose stand and three coffee cups, circa 1756-75 The rococo moulded creamboat with a lion mask spout and painted with sprays of 'cotton stem' flowers, 12.5cm long, patch marks, a small stand modelled as a flower with a feathered border in puce, a garland of heartsease to the centre, 10.5cm wide, and three coffee cups painted in colours with Mandarin figures, including one a boy with a speared bird by another boy at a window, 6.8cm high, one with a fine coloured Chinese figure pattern including cockfighting, 5.8cm high, and a larger cup also with Chinese figures, probably Derbyshire, 6.3cm high (5) Footnotes: Provenance Liane Richards Collection Anton Gabszewicz Collection A rose box with an identical stand is illustrated by Gilbert Bradley, Derby Porcelain 1750-1798 (1990), p.57, fig.16.
