A Lowestoft toast and water jug and a feeding cup, circa 1765-75 The jug of baluster form, the sharply pointed spout with a drainer, painted in blue with a Chinese river scene, gnarled trees and plants sprouting in abundance by a tall building, below a diaper and flower panel border, 17.5cm high, painter's numeral 5 inside footrim for Robert Allen, the feeding cup with a straight spout, the top half-covered, painted in blue with flowering plants behind fences, 8.6cm high (2) Footnotes: Provenance With Roderick Jellicoe (feeding cup) Lyn and Maurice Hillis Collection A slightly larger Lowestoft feeding cup from the Asprey Collection was sold by Bonhams on 2 May 2018, lot 379.
