
Two Worcester creamboats and a small sauceboat, circa 1753-55 Comprising two with angular handle with scrolled thumbrests, one of corrugated oval form with a flared and lobed rim, moulded on both sides with shaped panels reserved on a fine basketweave ground, painted in famille rose style with flowering plants beside panelled fences, 10cm long, the other of oval reeded form, delicately enamelled with colourful Chinese flower sprays, further flower sprays and sprigs to the interior, 11cm long, the sauceboat Of low-footed form with a scrolled handle, the moulded panels painted in bright famille rose colours with flowering plants issuing from rockwork, further trailing flowers to the interior, 15cm long, workman's mark in red below handle (3) Footnotes: The sauceboat and reeded creamboat were derived from Lund's Bristol models.
