A good pair of Derby reticulated deep plates, circa 1815 Painted in the style of William 'Quaker' Pegg, possibly by Philip Clavey, the centres fully painted with colourful sprays of mixed flowers and smaller sprigs, the borders with alternating pierced lattice and blue scale panels gilt with trailing ivy sprays, the lobed rims richly gilt 22.3cm diam, crown and D marks in red, 33 in red inside footrims (2) Footnotes: Provenance Shaw Collection A similar pair of plates was sold by Bonhams on 5 December 2007, lot 297 and a single plate on 8 April 2009, lot 302.
