The case surmounted by a decorated brass carrying handle over an oval observation window and repeat button to a moulded top, supported by four decorated Corinthian top capitals, the sides with shaped bevelled glass observation windows to a decorated plinth base and further raised on four turned feet. The 2.25in. white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, framed by a matted gilt mask. The movement with a silvered English-style lever platform escapement over a twin barrels, striking the hours and half-hours on a blued steel gong mounted to the backplate, signed Henri Jacot and numbered 14984.Both ticking and striking. 17cm (6.5 inches) high.
