A late 19th century French striking carriage clock The case surmounted by a simple carrying handle over a small bevelled glass observation window and moulded top, supported by four simple uprights and intercepted by glazed panels. The 2in. white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The twin train movement striking the hours and half hours on a blued steel gong mounted to the backplate, with a later Swiss lever platform escapement. Sold with a winding key. 15cms (6ins) high.
