
A French repeating carriage clock, circa 1870, with replacement platform escapement, 13.5cm high (small fracture to corner of front glass) Henri Jacot No17909 The case surmounted by a simple brass carrying handle over an oval observation window to a moulded top supported by four simple uprights and intercepted by glazed observation windows to a moulded base. The 2.75 inch white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blue steel hands. The movement stamped with Henri Jacot's factory mark and numbered 17909, striking the hours and half hours on a blue steel gong mounted to the back plate with a silver English style lever platform escapement.
