A late 19th century French striking and repeating gorge cased carriage clock The case surmounted by a carrying handle over a large rectangular bevelled observation window and repeat button to a moulded top, the glazed sides and back supported by shaped uprights and terminating in a moulded base. The 2.5 inch gilt dial with enamel Roman chapter ring and blued steel hands. The twin-train movement with silvered lever platform escapement, striking the hours and half-hours on a blued steel gong mounted to the backplate, currently ticking and striking. 16cms (6.25ins) high.
