
A late 19th century French repeating carriage clock Henri Jacot, Paris No. 15004 The case surmounted by a shaped carrying handle over a rectangular glazed observation window, a repeat button to the top, and surmounted by a moulded architectural superstructure. The sides flanked by four columns supporting bevelled glass panels, all terminating in a stepped moulded base. The 2.75-inch white enamel dial with Arabic numerals framed by a gilt brass mask and fitted with blued steel hands. The twin-train movement equipped with an English-style lever platform escapement and strikes the hours on a blued steel gong mounted to the back plate, the movement signed and numbered by the maker.
