A early 20th century French carriage clock with unusual VAP platform escapement EGL The case surmounted by a brass carrying handle with glazed panels to the sides, terminating in a moulded base. The 2-inch rectangular white enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The single-train movement signed to the back plate EGL within an oval cartouche, fitted with an unusual VAP platform escapement. Currently ticking. 15cms (6ins) high.
