
A mid 19th century gilt brass mantel clock (pendulum and bell lacking) Raingo à Paris The case surmounted by a floral finial over a finely cast and decorated top with further finials to each corner, supported by four Corinthian-topped columns with flared and twisting bases. The front applied with elaborately decorated cartouches and terminating in a moulded base with seven scrolling mounts, all resting on four decorated block feet. The 2.75-inch brass dial with individual enamel cartouche numerals bearing blue Roman figures, the cast centre with matching Rococo decoration and blued steel hands, signed to the 6 o'clock cartouche Raingo à Paris. The twin train movement with count wheel strike and silk suspension. Not currently ticking or striking. 31cms (12.5ins) high.
