
A 17th century style brass lantern clock Attymon Jones, London The case surmounted by a turned brass finial over a bell and bell stand, supported by four further finials and intercepted by pierced brass frets, the front fret engraved with foliate detail and a central coat of arms. The sides fitted with opening doors, the whole terminating in four turned finials. The 6 inch brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, intercepted by unusual bud half-hour markers, the centre engraved with foliate decoration and signed Attymon Jones, London, fitted with a blued steel hand. The 30 hour movement with anchor escapement, striking the hours via a count wheel on the bell mounted above. Currently ticking and striking. 38cms (15ins) high.
