A Scottish pewter flagon Dated 1763 The gently tapering drum with dated engraved inscription reading 1763 THIS BELONGING TO THE ASSOCIATE CONG:N IN KELSO within incised scrolling decoration, the body with flared base, and single curve handle, with twin-lobed thumbpiece, with 'beefeater-type' lid, 33cm high overall Footnotes: Provenance Property from the collection of Adrian Bishop, owner of Combe Cottage Antiques in Castle Combe, Wiltshire. Following his retirement from the RAF in 1964 Adrian Bishop and his wife Brenda set up the business the following year, trading until 2001.
