An Anglo-Chinese mid 19th century amboyna and ebonised kneehole desk 1840-1860 With bone stringing and bone inlaid tablets, with reeded drawer rails and stiles, above one long and two short camphorwood lined frieze drawers, over eight short camphorwood lined drawers flanking the kneehole, on eight ribbed and tapering feet, the central recess originally housing one more drawer below the frieze, but this has since been removed, 107cm wide x 49cm deep x 78.5cm high, (42in wide x 19in deep x 30 1/2in high) Footnotes: Provenance The offered lot, along with the eight other pieces of campaign furniture featuring in this section of the sale, previously belonged to a private collector who acquired these items over the course of the last approximately 60 years.
