A shell and quartz specimen mounted black resin bust of Neptune In the manner of Anthony Redmile Formed as a bearded man wearing a shell and quartz crown, his shoulders similarly mounted with quartz, set on a white marble socle base, 54cm high, 33cm wide, 20cm deep Footnotes: The British designer Anthony Redmile was known for his extravagant and eccentric designs. Trading from the 1960's, by the 1970's his business had flourished to such an extent that expanded into a large shop in London's Sloane Street. Influenced by antique classical styles, he re-interpreted these into furniture, lighting and decorative objects utilising unusual and exotic materials alongside resin and fibreglass which were often finished to mimic marble or bronze.
