
A early 19th century mahogany striking table clock Harris Cornhill, London The case surmounted by a single brass-mounted pad over a moulded top, the front with inset brass banding and the sides fitted with decorative carrying handles and fish-scale pierced sound frets, all terminating in reeded decoration and raised on a square plinth with four polished brass ball feet. The 8-inch round painted dial with Roman numerals, signed to the centre Harris Cornhill, London, and fitted with blued steel hands. The double fusee movement with anchor escapement, the backplate further signed Harris Cornhill, London and decorated with simple engraving, echoed on the pendulum bob. 45cms (18ins) high.
