Antique Brass Muzzleloader Powder Flask. It is in Great condition and has a fabulous patina. There are a few dents to the body, but no breaks, and the opening mechanism operates properly. There appears to be an adjustment near the opening, but I am unsure of the intended purpose, or how to operate it. Currently there is a small screw in the topmost notch of a series of notches, labeled from top to bottom; 2, 2 1/4, 2 1/2, 2 3/4, 3. The screw is in position '2'. There is some surface wear including some scratching, dents, dings, and a couple of depressions. The tie strap is somewhat frayed, but still intact. The patina has a range of colors from different levels of oxidation, ranging from true brass in areas to bronze, greens, and yellow-red. It measures 7 1/2 tall by 3 3/8 wide by 1 3/8 deep.
