1976 Kawasaki KZ900 LTD Registration no. ORH 952P Frame no. Z1F-107136 Engine no. Z1E122637 'The LTD has been carefully engineered to provide the utmost in comfort, styling and performance. Easy-going pullback handlebars eliminate bending and reaching. A new, slim gas tank holds unleaded fuel beautifully. And you'll be sitting pretty on the luxurious, deep-cushion custom dual seat. Not only does it lower the centre of gravity, it also adds extra back support. The end result is a relaxed confident feel.' - Kawasaki Motors Corp. Brainchild of Kawasaki USA and based on the awe-inspiring Z1, the Z900 LTD was one of the very first 'factory custom', limited edition (LTD) models. The Z900 LTD established the style of this new kind of motorcycle and was copied by all the other Japanese manufacturers. Only 2,000 examples were made for the 1976 season only, and today these Z900 LTDs (not to be confused with the much more numerous Z1000 LTD) are highly sought after. This Z900 LTD was imported from the USA in 1995 by Rusty's in Scunthorpe and first registered in the UK in October 1996. Shortly thereafter the Kawasaki was purchased by the current private vendor, its sole owner in the UK. The believed-correct odometer reading is 35,916 miles, of which it is estimated that circa 3,000 were covered in the UK. We are advised that the Kawasaki was serviced and run last summer but has not been started since, so will require recommissioning to a greater or lesser extent before returning to the road. Offered with the 1996 purchase receipt, expired MoTs, an old-style V5 and a current V5C document. Offered with key Footnotes: BUYER'S PREMIUM The Buyer's Premium for this Lot is 15%+VAT on the first £500k of the Hammer Price, and 12%+VAT on the balance thereafter.
