A rare double sided 1950 'All On Dunlop' poster, advertising the successes for that year, including the Isle of Man TT, Scottish 6 Days Trial, Ulster Grand Prix, North West 200, and a large number of other motorcycle scrambles, trials and grand prix. The reverse states 'Dunlop Motor Cycle Successes have made 1950, again, and again, and again'. Folded, 50cm x 40cm. This poster originally formed part of the collection of a private enthusiast and close friend of the late motorcycle racer Brian Arthur Jackson (d. 1952), who accompanied him to race meetings, including the Isle of Man TT, during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Following Jackson's fatal accident in 1952, the poster was carefully preserved and subsequently retained within the family by descent. Jackson, a surveyor and draughtsman employed by British Railways and a longstanding member of the Oswestry and District Motor Club, enjoyed a successful competition career in trials, scrambles, and road racing. Notably, he won the Junior Clubman Tourist Trophy at the Isle of Man in 1950 riding a BSA. In 1952, he competed at the Ulster Grand Prix aboard a Norton 499cc 'Featherbed', before later being fatally injured during the Manx Grand Prix on the Snaefell Mountain Course. This poster therefore represents not only an important period advertising piece, but also a poignant personal memento connected to a dedicated privateer rider of the post-war British racing scene.
