Title: Oil painting Field with hills Oleksiy Ivanyuk Description: NoAAA5833 The Oil painting Canvas titled "Field with hills" captures a breathtaking landscape that blends raw natural beauty with the artist's dynamic brushwork and vibrant palette. The composition immerses the viewer in a world of intense color and movement, where the rolling hills dominate the canvas and the field unfolds in a patchwork of earthy tones, punctuated by the presence of grazing animals. It is a work that simultaneously conveys the strength and tranquility of nature, inviting us to reflect on the timeless bond between land, light, and life. The sky in the upper portion of The painting immediately commands attention. Rendered in bold streaks of fiery oranges, reds, and golden yellows, it suggests the moment of sunset when the sun dips below the horizon, flooding the world with its last, most brilliant light. This glowing sky sets the tone for the entire composition, creating a dramatic backdrop against which the rest of the scene plays out. The fiery heavens seem almost alive, swirling with energy, reflecting both the grandeur and fleeting nature of dusk. Beneath this vibrant sky, the hills rise and fall in a sweeping rhythm. They are painted with an array of ochres, browns, purples, and crimson shades, giving them both weight and texture. The artist's thick, impasto technique emphasizes the tactile quality of the land-each brushstroke capturing the ruggedness of soil, rock, and vegetation. The hills appear alive with color, their surfaces shifting between warm and cool tones depending on how the light of the sunset touches them. This constant interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of movement, as if the hills themselves breathe with the rhythm of the earth. In the lower part of the canvas, the field spreads out in a burst of greens, reds, and violets. The strokes are energetic and expressive, suggesting grass and wildflowers stirred by the evening breeze. Amid this field, one can discern a small group of animals-likely cows or horses-grazing peacefully. Their forms, though not rendered in fine detail, are instantly recognizable. The animals, painted in deep blacks, reds, and whites, stand as living figures against the vibrant background, grounding the composition in the presence of rural life. They bring a sense of scale to the vastness of the landscape, while also serving as a symbol of humanity's harmonious coexistence with nature.
