Description – Eye catching French Art Deco, a contemporary of R. Lalique. Designed by André Hunebelle, Circa 1930s. It bears the marking "A. Hunebelle" and France on the underside.
Rare, due to functional use. This example has signs of wear to base, otherwise near perfect.
André Hunebelle, master glassmaker and a French film director distributed many of his glass designs by opening a store on the avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris.
His blown, cire perdue, cast, opalescent, clear and frosted glassware was cast in Cogniville, France
Signed A Hunebelle and from his glassworks in Cogniville, France.
