-Large-scale, bold abstract expressionist painting by well-known artist PETER FORD YOUNG (b. 1940), titled "Painting #2", created in 1973. Originally shown at Noah Goldowsky Gallery (New York) as part of his solo exhibition "Mandala Fold" in 1974. Acrylic paint on loose / unstretched canvas (was previously stretched). Signed, titled, and dated verso.
-Stretcher fragment with original gallery label included.
-Approximate dimensions: 56" x 56" (sight); 60" x 60" (sheet).
-Painting is in generally good vintage condition with light surface wear, due to being unstretched and rolled up for storage. Cleaning or restoration has not been attempted.
-Colors: maroon / burgundy, ochre / orange, yellow, red, blue, green.
