A silk and metal thread embroidered sari (kimkhwab) North India, 18th/ 19th Century of rectangular form, woven on a blue ground in polychrome silks and gilt silver thread, with a repeat design of floral motifs, the end with three panels containing floral sprays, alternating hamsa birds and female figures, backed 455 x 119 cm.
