He invented the scandalous topless bathing suit, the 'unisex' concept, and the 'no bra-bra'. Introduced in the 1960s, the no-bra bra marked a move away from structured, shaping undergarments popular in the 1950s; made without padding or wiring, it was intended to follow the natural form of the body.
