Ralph & Russo Haute Couture: an Ice Lavender Silk Organza and Chainmail Ballgown Autumn/Winter 2017 Runway Look 38 Ice lavender silk organza ballgown with crystal chainmail bodice and appliquéd petal skirt Approximate measurements: chest 31', waist 24', length at back 69', length at front 55' Footnotes: Design Information A special technique was developed in the atelier to join the chainmail for a seamless effect. 10,000 hand cut & sculpted silk organza and tulle petals were hand-appliqued to create a textured floral design. Each petal in organza and pleated tulle is hand cut in different sizes. Each are curled individually with curling irons. The gown took over 4,000 hours of hand embroidery and approximately 1,000 hours of hand finishing. Provenance From the Ralph & Russo Archive Original RRP Incl.
