'My ideas are never static. I don't just design a print or a dress, produce it, and then drop it. The theme keeps worrying me to be developed and the original idea becomes linked to something new and is regenerated.' - Zandra Rhodes In this video, Rhodes explains her practice of revisiting earlier prints and design from her archive, reinterpreting them into new works. The present example was made in 1976 using fabric and print from the Autumn/Winter 1970 New York and 'Indian Feather' collection. The 'Indian Feather Sunspray' print was inspired by Zandra's third trip to the United States, where she visited the Museum of the American Indian in New York, which showcases Native American art and artifacts. A comparable example is illustrated in the Zandra Rhodes Digital Study Collection, articles 70/36X and 70/42X This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: • • Zero rated for VAT, no VAT will be added to the Hammer Price or the Buyer's Premium.
