American. 1927-early 1930s. Pressed steel. Dayton's "Son-ny' brand of toys gained prominence as a more affordable but still high-quality alternative to competitors like Buddy "L". The brand was introduced around 1923-1926, with the moving vans appearing in retail catalogues and advertisements around 1927. This moving van was one of Dayton's largest models.
