Canadian. 1946-early 1950s. Pressed steel. This Allied Van Lines truck was part of the "private-label" series manufactured by Ellwood Metal Products for Lincoln Specialties Limited. The "private-label" series was toys with company names or logos that were used as promotional items – these production runs were typically small, as the toys were not intended for retail consumption. The truck has a decal that says, "Made in Canada Lincoln Toys Reg'd", which identifies Lincoln toys that were made from 1946 into the early 1950s, representing the formal registration of the brand name. Decalled, "Made in Canada Lincoln Toys "Reg'd"", at rear of trailer. Marked, "Lincoln", on cab doors. Embossed, "Lincoln Toys Made In Canada", on tires. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
