Canadian. 1950s. Pressed steel. This oil tanker was part of Otaco's "private-label" series of toys. Private-label toys were promotional or display models made for specific companies and not intended for retail sale. As a result, production runs were usually small, which meant fewer examples entered the market. Embossed, "Minitoys [sic] Otaco Ltd. Orillia Canada Made in Canada", on tires.
