American. Late 1920s-Early 1930s. Pressed steel. This wrecking truck was expensive to produce and had a short production run, all leading to its rarity in the hobby. As a result of these issues, the truck sold for approximately $4.00, a significant expense considering many toys cost only five or ten cents. This high price restricted the customer base to wealthier families, leading to lower production and sales volumes compared to the cheaper toys. Decalled, "Buddy "L"", on grille. Partial decal, "Buddy "L" Quality Toys", on inside cab dash. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
