
American. 1930s. Pressed steel. This Keystone plane is a large pull-toy (see metal loop on nose of plane). It is a single-engine, high-wing monoplane (single wing mounted on top of the fuselage). The plane was part of the "rapid fire" series, which included a mechanism that made a "firing" sound as the propeller turned or the toy was pulled or pushed. Decalled, "Keystone Air Mail Built By Keystone Mfg. Co., Boston, Mass. U.S.A.", on sides of nose. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
