American. 1942-1945. Wood. Wooden toys, such as this Buddy "L" Timber Truck, were part of the Moline Company's wartime "Victory" line (a time when steel and metals were diverted for the war effort). We can date this toy based on the all-wooden wheels, which puts the manufacturing date between 1942 and 1945, during the peak of WWII. Decalled, "Buddy Wood Toys", on hood.
