Canadian. 1946. Pressed steel. Al's Cycle Shop was one of the earliest manufacturers for the Lincoln Toys brand, and while its involvement in the toy industry was brief, it served as a critical bridge during the immediate post-WWII boom when local shops used scrap steel to meet the sudden demand for children's toys. The company was a local business that sold and serviced bicycles. It was not a toy production company, but rather, it was better known as a "Toys and Metal Stampings" company. Decalled, "Al's Cycle Shops Ltd. Windsor, Canada", on hood. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
