Canadian. 1948-1958. Pressed steel. This toy has a decal that says "Made in Canada Lincoln Toys Reg'd," which identifies Lincoln toys that were made from 1946 to the early 1950s, representing the formal registration of the brand name. Lincoln Specialties Limited began manufacturing this DC-4 model aircraft with Trans-Canada Airlines branding in 1948. There is archived evidence from the company's records that shows this toy also likely continued to be produced until 1958, using the same decal. This was likely due to its popularity and continued approval from Trans-Canada Airlines to use the name and logo. The toy was manufactured by Windsor Steel Products for Lincoln Specialties Limited. Decalled, "Made in Canada Lincoln Toys "Reg'd"", near tail fin. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
