American. Late 1940s-early 1950s. Pressed steel. The "City of Toyland" is a fictional marketing theme used by the Structo company to create an imaginative play world for children. The name was commonly found on Structo garbage trucks and utility vehicles, such as the one offered here. Decalled, "Structo Toys Freeport Illinois, U.S.A.", on cab doors.
