Canadian. 1950s. Pressed steel. This tractor-trailer was part of Otaco's "private-label" series of toys. These were promotional or display models made for specific companies and not intended for retail sale. As a result, production runs were usually small, which meant fewer examples entered the market. Companies would give these out to their clients and distributors as a form of advertising. Tippet-Richardson is a prominent Canadian moving and storage company that remains in operation today (2026). Unmarked, but known to be made by Otaco. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
