AMerican. 1950-1955. Pressed steel. The "Blue Diamond" dump truck was part of Smith-Miller's "private-label" series of toys. These were promotional or display models made for real companies and not intended for retail sale. As a result, production runs were usually small, which meant fewer examples entered the market. The Blue Diamond trucks were usually blue to match the name of the company; however, they were also produced in several other colours, including this authentic orange colour which was typically used for dump truck models.
