American. 1954. Pressed steel. This toy was designed to function as a toy chest. The roof is removable, and the side doors slide open. It features the "A.T. & S.F." (Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe) railway lettering and logo. The boxcar was a limited production item, manufactured during the final year of the company's original operations.
