American. 1940s. Pressed steel. Several toy manufacturers were known to have made trucks for Bekins. This toy is unmarked, but has significant signs of being attributed to Smith-Miller. Smith-Miller was known to emboss its name on all of its toys; however, when Fred Thompson purchased the company and brand, he noted there were many unmarked parts that were found with the dies and other assets.
