English. 1960s. Pressed steel with plastic horses. The Tri-ang horse transporter trucks (often referred to as "horseboxes") were part of the company's "300 series" of toys. The number was merely a cataloguing process that differentiated from the 200 series (post-war era and older square cab style) to a more modern, rounded style of cab. The phone number on the decal, "LIB 4242", references the company's owners and their headquarters ("LIB" stands for Lines Brothers; "4242" refers to the telephone number off the Tri-ang factory in Merton, London). Decalled, "Tri-ang Made in England", on side panels. Embossed, "Tri-Ang Made in England LB Ltd.", on tires. Embossed, "L. Bros. Ltd.", on hubcaps. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
