American. 1950. Pressed steel, die-cast aluminum. This truck was part of Smith-Miller's "private-label" series of toys. These were promotional or display models made for real companies and not intended for retail sale. As a result, production runs were usually small, which meant fewer examples entered the market. Jimmy Wilson Jr. Moving & Storage was a real-world company based in York, Pennsylvania. Embossed, "Smith Miller Calif" and "Smitty Toys", on underside. Stamped, "SM", on hubcaps. From the Yvan Lalonde Collection.
