
Barbra Streisand: A scale model maquette for the staging design for Streisand's MGM Grand and World Tour of 'Timeless', 1999-2000, scale model 3/8' = 1'-0', made in 1999, consisting of cardboard, foam core, wood, acrylic paint and ink, with metal frame, created by the Production/Set Designer for Barbra Streisand's 1999/2000 New Year's Eve Millennium concert at the Las Vegas MGM Grand and subsequent world tour, presented to Barbra and subsequently used for the engineering and build of the set which was made by George & Goldberg Design Associates production facility in Paramount California, also accompanied by two guest access passes for the concerts, a poster for a show in Melbourne, a Timeless souvenir program, 18 x 33 x 21 in. Footnotes: Barbra Streisand's 'Timeless' was a concert tour and a related DVD/CD release, marking the turn of the millennium and her final concert tour at the time. The 'Timeless' concerts were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 31, 1999, and January 1, 2000. The concert was later released as a DVD and CD titled 'Timeless: Live in Concert'. The 'Timeless' concert was a grand production featuring a 60-piece orchestra, a 10-person supporting cast, and elaborate staging with a 4-tiered stage design, dancing, comedy, and poetry. The show was a journey through Streisand's career, with performances spanning her 'torchy period,' 'Broadway period,' 'movie period,' 'Sondheim period,' and even featuring a 'James Brolin period'. The 'Timeless' tour also extended beyond the Las Vegas performances, with shows in Australia and New York.
