Cast Iron Figure.
Circa 1800's.
This figure dates from the 19th century and was found in Tennessee. It has a dark, oxidized, weathered surface. The face was hand formed. The back is open and partly filled with concrete. It may have originally been an architectural piece or one of the supports for a garden urn. This piece has been mounted on a newer metal base.
Size: 12" H x 4.75" W x 4" D. The base is 7" square.
Provenance: Private North Alabama Collection.
