*** This lot is sold as is with no guarantees or COAs. *** Awards night program from a 16 April 1978 event hosted by the Decalogue Society of Layers at the Pick-Congress Hotel (now the Congress Plaza Hotel) in Chicago. The cover shows a picture of their Merit Award winner for that year, Simon Wiesenthal. In the upper right corner in blue pen is Mr. Wiesenthal's signature with the inscription "To Heliac" (?). The program has some wear and dust/dirt, but the signature is clear. Most of the 8 page program details Mr. Wiesenthal's life from surviving the Mauthausen Concentration Camp, to his work as an author, and his extensive work collecting evidence of atrocities across Europe for use in trials and to locate Nazi fugitives who had escaped justice.
